Jordan Pond Ice Cream and Fudge in Mount Desert Island

Delicious ice cream. Chocolate implosion is now my all time favorite ice cream flavor. Blueberry is also a must-try. Come hungry or share because they scoop big.

Me and my family have been spending the summers here in Bar Harbor for the last 20 years, and anyone who has visited knows ice cream is a big deal here. Everyone in my family had their opinions about which shop has the best ice cream, and we could never agree. One person liked MDI, one Ben and Bills, one Udder Heaven and one CJs. We decided to do a blind taste test to settle this once and for all, a scoop of vanilla from each place. While picking up our ice cream, the owner of another ice cream shop actually recommended that we throw Jordan’s into the mix, saying they make their own ice cream so it was worth trying. Well we thank him for the recommendation because it was the hands down favorite. Everyone on the family agreed it was the best one, and we tried them blind so there wasn’t favoritism. I know not everyone is neurotic enough to try a vanilla ice cream flight so we will save you the legwork. They have the best ice cream in town.

Prices are way to high. 7 dollars for a small cone with two scoops. Only recommend for one person going outs.

They make their own ice cream here. The flavors and textures are spot on. The prices are fair and they have a wide variety of flavors. The service was quick and friendly. They offer samples of their flavors, and I enjoyed all of them. It was hard to pick what to get. The mudslide ice cream was my favorite. I loved that the dishes and spoons were compostable too.

Thank you Noah for helping me with my peanut allergy. If it were not for you I would have missed my favorite dessert - ice cream. It was delicious and the fact that you opened a new container with a fresh spoon was wonderful . I thank you!!!

They make their own ice cream. Let you sample different flavors. Really liked the Earl Grey Tea ice cream, it is sweetened with honey. Friendly fast service. Can get three different flavors in a waffle cone.

Excellent ice cream, very creamy, small ice crystals so very smooth. Nice mix of classic and innovative flavors. Fudge is tasty too.

Fantastic ice cream, my favorite of the two homemade ice cream places in town. Excellent quality, unique flavors and good prices. The fudge was excellent too, definitely worth a visit!

1) By far the best ice cream I’ve had in a while; not only on the island or in the state, but almost everywhere. The walnut maple, chocolate implosion, cinnamon bun, and mocha oreo are all amazing. I went 4 times in one week, and made it there too late one other night. 2) Noah: The kid is awesome. He makes the place 100 times better. He got to know those of us that got ice cream every night. By far the nicest server and made the experience way more fun. The one night Noah wasn’t working, our group felt as if it was almost pointless to go get ice cream. I hope the owners seriously considers giving Noah a raise and considering him as an asset to the shop.

Best ice cream in town! The staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating of my gluten allergy. They offered to get a freshly sanitized scooper, as well as get my ice cream from a new tub of ice cream to prevent any cross contamination. Very impressed!

Yummy fresh icecream. I tried blueberry and strawberry flavors which werent that stron on flavor but the icecream was so creamy and rich that i enjoyed it. The favorite I teied was coffee with heath bar. That was delicious.

Great ice cream very unique flavors!

Not bad ice cream. This shop is similar to all the other ones in the vicinity. Nothing unique, just the standard flavors. They also have fudge but I’d skip the fudge and get it elsewhere - it wasn’t as good as fudge in some of the other shops.

It was ok. Long line to get in. Already out of a lot of ice cream flavors by 8pm. The ice cream they did have was good, as well was the fudge. Workers were busy, but attentive.

Great ice cream. And the servers were very nice. We were there when it was pouring buckets outside and they told us to wait in the adjacent store to stay dry. Nothing like that little extra on the customer service front.

All of the classic flavors and then some. The vanilla was deliciously rich while the blood orange sorbet tasted somewhat like one of the over the counter vitamin C powder drink mixes. $6 for a triple scoop; Mobile payments accepted here.

Excellent variety, ask for ice cream flavors to be mixed into a shake. Great staff that was very helpful.

We've had good ice cream from here before but the day we were there the AC was apparently not working. Not only was the ordering process uncomfortable but the ice cream was half melted. The staff was helpful and courteous but the ice cream was lacking.

If you are at Maine, do visit this place . They have nice options for ice cream and fudges .

Loved this Ice-Cream place in Bar Harbor. Don't forget to have Blue-berry ice-cream in its peak season. Tried strawberry milk shake and it was delicious.

Great Ice Cream Shop as evidenced by the line going out to the door. Unique flavors (I had the maple pancake ice cream with hot fudge)They have pup cups for your four legged friends!

Too cold for ice cream but needed a sweet fix so we sampled some fudge and ended up buying a 1/2 lb of Carrot Cake which is literally like eating the real thing. The lady working behind the counter was super friendly and the shop smelled heavenly. When we walked back by a short time later they had already closed for the evening so I'm glad we opted for "dessert first". We'll be sure to try the ice cream next time we visit.

Stopped in to get some fudge and it was an excellent experience. The gentleman working on Sunday june 23rd around 5pm was very friendly and helped my boyfriend and I choose some great flavors. Bonus, the fudge is pretty damn good too!

Coffee toffee ice cream, a hit! The dude with a stash impressed my wife by knowing how much moola for cones were without a cash register. I joked he went to college for 8 years....tourists..... He says point blank. “ I went to MIT for 6 years.” “Acadia.” Mind blown... He must own that ice cream shop.If scooping ice cream is good enough for an MIT grad it’s good enough for me.The name Jordan Pond is not where the place is located next ta. Jordan Pond is a drinking water hot spot south and eastish of Mount Cadillac. Pretty spot for a namesake.

absolutely outstanding- all all homemade. They use fresh fruit in their ice cream! Strawberry was to die for. Raspberry chocolate chip brilliant too. Wish I could take some home with me

It was meh, Ben and bills chocolate emporium is so much better. A small was 6 dollars and the icecream was halfway melted, idk if something was just wrong with the freezer and the blueberry icecream isn’t as good as Ben and bills it was ok.

Ice cream is excessively sticky, heavy, and bland. Neither of my daughters cared for it, which is unheard of. They are normally ice cream fiends.

Delicious homemade icecream. We had coconut and chocolate icecream and loved both! We walked across the street and ate our icecream by the small water fountain that was lit up😊
